About the event
About this event
This event has been organised by Dasha's Fire Family.
Many of us trained together, walked over fire together, laughed together and supported one another over the years. We know what it means to celebrate together, and we know what it means to stand beside each other when life takes an unexpected turn.
Now it's Dasha's turn to feel that support.
Following surgery to remove a brain tumour, Dasha has a long recovery ahead of her. As someone who is self-employed, taking time away from work also means taking time away from earning an income.
So we're doing what Fire Family does best.
We're coming together to organise a sponsored fundraising firewalk to support one of our own.
Who is Dasha?
If you've ever met Dasha, you'll know she's one of those people who naturally puts other people first.
As a sports therapist, she has spent years helping people recover from injury, ease pain, move more freely and get back to living the lives they want to live. She has supported hundreds of people through her work, but what makes Dasha so special isn't simply what she does, it's the way she does it.
She listens. She genuinely cares. She gives her time freely. She always wants the best for the people around her. She's the person who quietly turns up for others without expecting anything in return.
Now it's our turn to be there for her.
The Firewalk
The Fire Family is coming together to organise a sponsored fundraising firewalk in support of Dasha.
This event is open to everyone.
You don't need to be part of the Fire Family, and you don't need any previous experience. Whether this is your very first firewalk or you've walked many before, we'd love you to join us.
Come and walk with us.
Come and cheer people on - it's FREE to attend.
Come and spend the day with an amazing group of people, all coming together for the same reason to support Dasha.
Taking Part
The registration fee for those taking part in the firewalk is £15 per person.
Every participant is encouraged to ask friends, family and colleagues to sponsor them through Dasha's GoFundMe page before the event.
If walking isn't for you, you can still make a huge difference by making a donation directly through the GoFundMe page or by sharing the fundraiser with others.
Every contribution, whatever its size, helps.
More Than a Firewalk
This is about far more than walking across hot coals. We're creating a day where people can come together, connect, laugh and enjoy one another's company. Alongside the firewalk, there will be fun games, interactive activities, fundraising opportunities and food to enjoy together. Bring the family, bring your friends, or simply come along on your own – you'll be welcomed into a community of people who care. Whether you're taking part in the firewalk or simply soaking up the atmosphere, we hope you'll leave having made new connections, shared some smiles and helped make a real difference for Dasha.
Supporting the Venue
Our venue has very generously donated the space for this event. They are also a charity supporting people within the local community.
If you're able to, we'd love you to bring along:
Non-perishable food donations.
Good quality clothing such as a mix of sizes, children through to adults.
These donations will go directly to people who need them.
Ways You Can Help
There are lots of ways you can support Dasha.
Take part in the sponsored fundraising firewalk.
Sponsor someone who is walking.
Donate directly through the GoFundMe page.
Share the fundraiser with friends and family.
Bring food or warm clothing for the venue's charity.
Come along on the day and support everyone taking part.
We are also looking for prizes for our games. You can either bring a physical prize on the day or post in advance. We can also accept digital prizes. Please email info@womanifest.co.uk
Every single act of kindness makes a difference.
A Final Word
This day isn't really about walking across hot coals.
It's about people.
It's about friendship.
It's about showing up for someone who has spent years showing up for other people. It's about reminding Dasha that she isn't facing this on her own.
Whether you walk across the fire, donate, volunteer, bring food, bring warm clothing or simply come along to support, you'll be helping to make a difference.
Sometimes the strongest thing we can do isn't walk across fire. It's showing someone they don't have to walk through life's challenges alone. This is our chance to do exactly that.
